I’d love to speak at your event
I love teaching and preaching, it is one of the things I feel God has called me to do. If your event is within driving distance of where I live in Tennessee, I’ll come to speak at your church for free. Simply email me at joshp@ridgedalebaptist.org with a date, topic, and other general information.
My Story
I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. During high school, I had a pretty profound spiritual moment where after months of doubt and confusion, the Lord helped me understand I couldn’t make Him love me by my good works. But because of Jesus, He had chosen to love me and help me change.
Ever since then, I have been trying to use my life to help others see God’s love for them. Sensing the Lord was calling me into ministry, but unsure of what that path would look like, I went to Lee University and got my undergrad in Information Systems. I joined a tech startup and worked in the business world for a while until I went to Seminary where I achieved my Masters of Divinity.
After seminary, I went to work at a local hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic as a trauma chaplain.
I currently work as Pastor of Young Adults and oversee the internship program at Ridgedale Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tn.

Church feels like a chore. My heart feels apathetic to worship and the sermon and I'm a pastor! I desperately want my heart to be alive again to the Sunday worship service. While I do not know why God might bring us to seasons like this, I do believe that He uses all things for our good.
