When theological truths for the mind seem insufficient, the simultaneous question and request stands: “God, do you see me and can you show me that you do?”

What hope do you have when your suffering has not yet been redeemed?

God will always come through for you.

God counts every tear you cry. God sees your tears fall. He counts them in his bottle according to Psalm 56:8. He does this because He loves you.

Darkness shrouds what is truly there. Darkness is not the reality, darkness is merely the inability to see what is present. Remind me of this when darkness enters, Lord, that you are my light.

Temptation towards sin is only one battle ground for Satan in the life of a Christian. The other place of temptation is after you have fallen.

You have not out sinned His love. The Lord loves us where we are, but He also loves us too much to keep us there.

God is near to you in your broken heart— No matter what the broken heart or crushed spirit came from. Beautiful.

His love for you was never given based on your goodness. He loved you, wanted you, and sent His son to die for you while you were rebellious. He’s not going to leave you now. There is massive hope for you. Keep going back to the cross. To the one who does not deal with us according to our sins, but abounds in steadfast (long suffering) love and mercy.

About six months into my seminary career; however, the excitement started to fade. God became less real to me. The God who bled and died for me became the God whom I merely read and wrote about. I eventually began to question God entirely. I went  through seasons in which I questioned my salvation, questioned the goodness of God, and even questioned the very existence of God.
